IDABC@LinuxTag - 23 June 2005, Karlsruhe, Germany
IDABC is pleased to announce its return to Karlsruhe (Germany) in
June 2005 to hold a workshop on open source software (OSS) and the public sector
during the 2005 LinuxTag expo and conference. The IDABC@LinuxTag
meeting is organised by the European Commission’s IDABC programme, in
conjunction with the German Federal Ministry of the Interior and the promoters of
LinuxTag - Europe’s biggest OSS and Linux event. This workshop will enable
representatives of European public administrations, OSS competence
centres and policy makers to discuss key strategic OSS issues at European
level.
Topic addressed will include: pooling resources for OSS development,
licensing OSS, and the economic impact of OSS. Participation in the
workshop is open and free. The deadline for registration is 16 June 2005.
